Yes, it's me!

Good morning Faithful Followers

I hope that all is well with you. I am sitting here in Lockport, NY (Near Buffalo), at my son and daughter-in-law's new home. They are still asleep, since their beautiful little newborn, Jackson "Jax" probably awakened them throughout the night.
Before I left home, I scurried around to make cards for Mike and Mandi, for both their new baby and for their new home. I wanted to share those with you today.

The first card is the one that I made for their new home. It's a very simple card.

The second one is the baby card. I love using the little beads that have the letters on them to spell the new baby's name or to just say "baby". I think that it adds a personal touch to the card.

As you can see, I used a baby that I cut from my Cricut. The ribbon if from Stampin' Up! The wire used for the name is also from Stampin' Up!

Once I am home, I hope to be able to share the cards I made for my other new grand baby, Ava, and her big brother, Bobby.

I hope that you are doing well and are finding time to stamp or scrapbook!

Hugs!

No excuses!

Good morning Faithful Followers!
If you are reading this, then you are really a faithful follower, since I have been remiss in posting! (Karla!) It has been a very busy year. Since my last post, my daughter gave me the gift of a beautiful granddaughter, Ava Grace. Life doesn't get much better than having grandchildren, that's for sure!

Okay, onto my blog. Today I am posted several cards, to try to make up for lost time. ;-)

This is a card that was made using a stamp set from GinaK. I just love this set. It's so masculine and it's not always easy to find something different that is. I used inks and sponges to do my background and the sun.
This card was made as a welcome baby card. Looking at it here, it looks very busy in design. This is one that looks better in person. I like using the beads to spell out the new baby's name.

This card was made using a Heartfelt Creations stamp. I just love their stamps and especially this set. I used two shades of purples on each flower to give it more dimension. The leaves were done using colored pencils and Gamsol to soften them. There is a tiny pearl in the center of each flower, which are from Stamping' Up!

I hope to be back here soon to share more with you. I have made and sent a number of cards, forgetting to take pictures of them. I need to work on remembering to take the photos!

Have a great day!

Good morning!

Good morning, Faithful Followers!
I hope that you are not tired of the heat like those of us in Texas are! Yesterday was 107! Can you even imagine?

Anyway, I know that I keep promising to be faithful to you, posting on a regular basis. Life keeps getting in the way. Soon, I will have a new little granddaughter, who will be occupying even more of my time! I am SO excited and anxious to meet her!

Okay, back to blogging...
This first card is one that I made for an order I am working on. I know it's a bit early for Christmas, but it's never to early to think about starting Christmas cards! The stamps used on this card are from Stampin' Up! The set is called Sunny Seasons Greetings. It's such a cute versatile set. I used different colored Stickles on the lights to give it a glow!

This card was made for Father's Day, again using Stampin' Up! I have been using my inks a little bit differently lately, and am enjoying playing with them.

This card turned out to be one of my favorites! Fo anyone that knows me, you know that I love tropical things, especially palm trees and dolphins! This card was made for a friend. I stamped it with a stamp from Stampabilities called Subtle Pams. I just love it! I did some masking to make the sun. I don't think that you can tell from the picture, but I used a real starfish on "the beach". I love that 3D effect!

This is an idea that I took from my Stampin' Up Consultant, Karla Amigh! I just love the looks of this cute little dresser! I have been making a bunch of variations of it. I may be using this card for my daughter-in-laws' baby shower invitations.  I have lots of ideas on how to use this idea! It is time consuming to make this card, only because of what my friends call "fussy cutting"! Below is another version of this card. I used a Cuttlebug folder to emboss the one below to give a wood look.

Last, but certainly not least, I am sharing a card that I made for my husband's birthday. I just love this treasure chest! I cut the chest out with my Cricut. The sword was from my stash. I had found it at some point in a clearance bin in a jewelry section of a store. Mark loves pirates, so I thought this would be fun! The coins I added were taken from pots of gold from my stash.

I hope that in some way, I am redeeming myself by putting up more cards today! No promises on what tomorrow brings...I have a 2 year-old spending the night tonight! :-)

Hugs to all!

OK...true confessions from an aging woman! LOL!

Good morning Faithful Followers!

Yesterday was such a busy day! To begin with, we drove an hour to Frisco, where we used to live, to go to the new In-N-Out burger. We only waited for about 45 minutes, as opposed to 2 weeks ago when they opened, and people waited 4 hours! Can you imagine? You can't imagine the excitement everyone has, having this historic California chain come to Texas. Many Californians have relocated here. Once you have an In-N-Out Double Double, well, you just can never go back! LOL! After that, we went and shopped, and spent the whole day in the area.

Now, here comes the confession, we decided to do all of these things in Frisco is because we had been invited to a 30th birthday party in Plano. OK, so, the plan was to kill 2 birds with one stone. Great plan. The party wasn't until 6:00, and we had run out of things to do several hours ahead  of that. That wasn't the bad part...or the embarrassing part... we arrived at my good friend, Barb's house 30 minutes early...make that 1 week and 30 minutes early! Yes, my friends, the party is next week! Talk about feeling like a total fool! LOL!! My husband looked like he was going to kill me...and said as much!

Barb invited us in, fed us dinner with her family, and we spent the evening in the pool! There's nothing like a good friend who loves you despite yourself! :-)

Anyway, I am actually sharing the card that I made for the "guest of honor" NEXT WEEK! I hope you like it. It's rather simple, but I love the stamp set, which is from Stampin' Up!

Love to all of you, who continue to love and support me...even when I am losing my mind! You never know when I might show up on your doorstep!

HAPPY EASTER!

Happy Easter Faithful Followers!

Today I am sharing another Easter card that I made using my Cricut, my Fiskars grass punch, and Easter Eggs from Close to my Heart.

I am also sharing another Easter card that I made using some of my Spellbinders, and just cut out a cross and Cuttlebugged it...is that a word?! :-)

The last 2 are sympathy cards that I made that are really simple cards.

I hope that you enjoy today's entries and that you have a blessed Easter!

Good Saturday Morning!

Good morning Faithful Followers!

Today I am sharing 2 baby shower cards that I made. The first was made using cardstock from Debbie Mumm's Noah's Ark. I cut the arks out of the paper. I used a Martha Stewart punch to make the edges. The cardstock for the card itself, I believe is Club Scrap from my stash. The embellishment is by Joann.

The second card is  one that I used several punches. Now, you would think with all of the stamp sets I own, both cards would have been stamped. I didn't take pictues of the insides, but they are stamped with nice verses! Oh, and by the way, I used a Spellbinder for the leaves on this card.

Have a great weekend!

An improvement on my chick!

Hello Faithful Followers!

The more I looked at my little chick Easter card, the more I thought that it needed a little something. So, I had some cute little rain boots that I had cut out on my Cricut, and thought that they would be cute...and I kinda like it! What do you think?

Have a great day!

My new promise...

Hello my faithful followers!
OK, to begin with, I want to tell you my new promise (You know how bad I am keeping promises!). My promise is that I will be sure that I have added my photos BEFORE I post! :-)

Today I am sharing an Easter card for a child, a Father's Day card and a card about unlocking your dreams.

My Easter card is a piece of cardstock that I tore, added feathers, buttons for eyes, a triangle for a beak and hand drawn feet. I thought that it was cute and rather childlike.

I have had these keys in my stash and have been dying to do something with them. The keys are from JoAnn Craft Essentials. I stamped and embossed ferns from Stampin' Up! using Garden Green SU ink. I also used it to give a little background color on the stark white cardstock, just around 2 sides. I added my "Unlock your dreams" sentiment and punched it out. You probably can't tell from my card, but the white cardstock was cut smaller, so that I was able to use Garden Green cardstock on the backside of the folded white card, giving it a matted look.

The last card is a Father's Day card that I made for my dad. He loves cars and I thought of him when I bought A Proper Gentleman Collection from Graphics 45.

Again, I used the Garden Green cardstock from SU! I then used the same ink to stamp on some wide white satin ribbon I had in my stash.

I hope that you are having a wonderful day & a wonderful week!

Hugs!

A new blessing

Hello my faithful followers!

Yes, 3 days in a row. I can hardly believe it myself. :-)

Today I am sharing a very special card. It is a congratulations card for parents-to-be. The stamp used is from Stampabilities. It's one of their Cling Rubber Stamps. I used Copics to color the image, and then cut it out. I used some ribbon trim that I had in my stash. Inside of the card, I wrote a little poem. I hope you like it!

Have a great night!

An Anniversary card

Today I am sharing a card that I made for an anniversary. I used my Cricut to cut out the shoes. I then used Crystal Laquer to give them that patent leather look. I decided to add the laces to the mans' shoe using some ribbon that I had on hand. I added some Stickles to the heart on the ladies' shoe.

Back to creating! Have a great Sunday!

Yes, I am really here!

Hello faithful followers!
I am actually here sharing a card with you! Yes, it's true. Tonight I am sharing a card with a stamped image by Magnolia. I just love it. I used Flower Soft for the flowers that the bride is carrying, as well as the boutonnière. I just love the realistic look it gives with the multicolor provided by the Fuchsia Flower Soft. I hope that you are able to see it in the photo.

I am hoping to come back tomorrow with another card to share with you. Have a great night!

Hugs!

Don't faint!

I know, it has been a very long time since I have been here. I have a number of cards that I want to share with you. I hope to get onto my blog to share them with you soon!

For now I am sharing a simple card that I made using Spellbinders as a mat, ribbon behind the mat, and an image that is from Stampin' Up! I used my markers to color the stamp, and then added pearls to the flowers to give them dimension.

If you are here viewing my blog, I thank you.
